Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Human.01 ("we") for using Human.01 VM: the boxes, the AI, the Bot, the rewards and the website. By launching a box or connecting over SSH you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
A box is a small virtual computer with an AI agent, reachable from your browser or over SSH. Free boxes run for 60 minutes and can be kept by claiming them with an email address. We may change what a box includes, the limits, and the models offered, at any time; the current limits are on the landing page. The service is in active development and is provided as a free or low-cost tool, not as critical infrastructure.
2. Your account and your box
- A free box is tied to your browser or your SSH key. Whoever holds that browser identifier or key can use the box; keep them to yourself.
- Claiming a box with an email makes it yours. One email can keep at most the number of boxes shown on the landing page.
- You are responsible for everything that happens in your box and for keeping copies of anything you care about. We do not back up box contents. Turn on auto-save to GitHub or download your work.
- Boxes that are not claimed, or that are idle for the period shown on the landing page, are deleted with everything inside. We may delete a box sooner if it breaks these terms.
3. Acceptable use
Use your box like a computer you are responsible for. You must not use the service to:
- break the law, infringe someone's rights, or host content that is illegal where you or we are;
- attack, scan, flood or interfere with other people's systems, or with other boxes or our servers;
- send spam or unsolicited messages, including through the Bot on messaging platforms;
- mine cryptocurrency, run proxies or relays for others, or otherwise use the box as raw compute unrelated to building something;
- try to get around the limits (several browsers or keys to multiply free boxes, fake referrals, scripted reward claims);
- resell or offer the service, or the AI inside it, to third parties as your own;
- generate content that is sexual involving minors, that incites violence, or that is designed to deceive or harm specific people.
We may suspend or delete a box, withhold rewards, and block an email, key or address when we see this, without notice where the harm is ongoing.
4. The AI
- Human.01 AI runs on our own servers. Free third-party models are offered as a convenience under their providers' terms, and we may add or remove them at any time.
- Each box gets a daily allowance of AI tokens, counted as new input plus output, as shown in the box's AI panel. Earned tokens (section 5) are used after the allowance.
- AI output is generated by a machine and can be wrong, biased, or unsafe. Check it before you rely on it, especially code that runs, money, health, legal and safety matters. You own what you make with it, to the extent the law allows, and you are responsible for how you use it.
- The Bot acts on messaging accounts you connect. You are responsible for what it sends, for having the right to automate that account, and for following that platform's rules. Some platforms restrict automation; using the Bot there is your choice and your risk.
5. Rewards and earned tokens
- Earned tokens are a usage credit for AI calls on our service. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or refunded, and may be reduced, capped or ended by us. We will say so on the rewards page before a change that lowers existing balances.
- Referral and share rewards are credited by the rules on the rewards page. We check claims and reverse any that were obtained by fraud, automation, self-referral or fake accounts, and we may close the account.
- Campaign amounts and conditions can change at any time; the rewards page shows the current ones.
6. Paid plans
When paid plans are offered, their price, what they include and how they renew are shown at the time of purchase and form part of these terms. Prices on a waitlist are indicative until a plan is sold. Refunds, where offered, are described with the plan.
7. Your content and our software
Your files and your projects are yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and run them so the service works. Our software, models, names and website are ours or our licensors'; you may use them only through the service. Software inside the box that comes from others (Linux, tools, open models) stays under its own licence.
8. No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which for a free box is zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply as far as permitted.
9. Ending
You can stop using the service and delete your boxes at any time. We can suspend or end your access for a breach of these terms, for abuse, or if we wind the service down, in which case we will give notice on the landing page where we reasonably can.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes and the new text is published here. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), and disputes go to the courts of Taipei, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
